Since its release extended range players demanded we offer the clarity and aggression of the original EMTYs custom-shifted EQ in a 7 string size. This is the active mount 7-string EMTY Blackouts bridge. After years of bombing the world with our original Blackouts, Slipknots Seven approached us to custom voice an active bridge pickup better suited to his 6-strings dropped B tuning. He specifically wanted to add more treble definition while tightening up his low-end to perfectly compliment his complex crushing riffs and dissonant accents. We worked closely with Mick to get the voicing just right, the result being the EMTY Blackouts humbuckers. The EMTY bridge model has the energy and output of the original Blackouts, but youll immediately notice that the custom tuned preamp yields tighter low end gives your sound playing an edgier, more percussive feel whether youre in standard tuning or beneath the earths crust. This is especially true for palm muting, and heavy chugging riffs. The mids provide just enough detail, and the augmented treble response really gives solos a solid attack. Pair with the EMTY 7-string passive mount neck model for a perfectly matched set.Also available in a passive sized cover that retrofits traditional passive 7-string humbucker routes.Comes with pots, hardware, quick-connector cables, capacitor (active pickups require a special cap value), output jack, battery clip, and wire needed for installation. If your guitar already has active pickups with quick-connector cables installed, you should be able to simply unplug them and plug in your Blackouts.
